The Quality Systems Monitor’s position is to patrol the dry storage, shipping, receiving and Production departments to ensure adherence to the quality systems’ programs.

  1. Requirements

Compliance:

The QSM must be in their work area, ready to work at the posted start time.

This position is required to carry, communicate with the company provided radio at all times.

This position is required to carry their SSOP and SPS/GMP paperwork at all times. This position is also required to carry a controlled copy of the most current SPS Guidelines. This position is responsible to collect, once per session, samples of Fryer oil for F.F.A.  testing this includes inbound oil loads.

 This position will also be available to cover for other Positions for break, be available to put products on hold as needed, inspect receiving and shipping loads as well as any other assigned tasks.

All Team Members are required to adhere to all Food Safety Policies and immediately take control of, correct and report any potential Food Safety deficiencies.

Be knowledgeable and follow all standard operating procedures for this job position.

QSM is to transition with the opposite shift on a daily bases on the production floor.

Maintain a high level of cleanliness by utilizing the “Clean as You Go” technique throughout the facility.

All associates are required to IMMEDIATELY REPORT any injury to themselves, damage to any equipment or facilities of Dorada Foods, LLC. and/or equipment of any Dorada Foods, LLC. authorized vendors, contractors, etc., to their Supervisor, Superintendent or Manager.

All Team Members are REQUIRED, AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT, to work with management to IMMEDIATELY identify and correct all unsafe acts or unsafe working conditions.

It is the RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH TEAM MEMBER to work UNDER CONTROL and to follow all established safety policies, rule, programs, and practices at all times.

Lock Out, Tag Out and Confined Space Programs should be strictly adhered to and are conditions of employment.

Communication:

Communicate to the Production and, or FSQS Supervisor any food or plant safety issues that are observed during the performance of your daily duties.

6. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk, hear, taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds to move product cases or documentation file boxes. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time as well as extreme heat and cold in the manufacturing plant that may require a person to wear PPE to include freezer jackets, eye and ear protection, rubber boots and a bump cap.  Production environments range in temperatures between -10 to 40°F. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Domestic travel by automobile and/or airline meetings or trainings will be required periodically.    

7. Procedure

Patrol dry storage, shipping, receiving and production/packaging departments observing SPS/GMP’s, SSOP’s and be available to verify HACCP paperwork to ensure adherence to the written plans. 

Collect samples of oil from all fryers and in-bound oil trucks for FFA testing. Communicate to the Production Supervisor and FSQS Supervisor any significant food or plant safety issues that are observed during the performance of your duties.

Monitoring records for SSOP and SPS/GMP deviations must be documented as the event occurs.

SSOP documentation will include any events in which product/product contact equipment becomes contaminated and sanitary conditions have to be restored.

SPS/GMP documentation will include facility condition issues which do not directly affect product and any employee hygiene issues where GMPs are not followed.

Be available to cover for other Positions for break, to put products on hold as needed, inspect receiving and shipping loads as well as any other assigned tasks.

When errors in documentation occur, strike through once and initial the change. Maintain original document integrity for all SSOP and SPS/GMP documents. The QSM is responsible for completing the SSOP daily paperwork and turning it in to paperwork box at the end of the shift each day of production. The SPS/GMP sheet must be completed and turned into the Paperwork box on the last day of production for each week (Monday through Sunday).

When needed, assist the FSQS Product Quality Monitor and Sensory Technician with hourly cooks. Be available to cover for other Positions for break, to put products on hold as needed, inspect receiving and shipping loads.

Perform scale calibration; X-ray monitoring, Freezer temperature, Cooler temperature, Initial Grinder Metal Detection, In Process temperature checks

Verify all Marinating and pickup process paperwork and perform pick up checks when needed.

Check all footbaths and hand sanitizer dips in your monitoring area. Document you’re finding on the “Operational Sanitizer Documentation Sheet”. 

Assist in issuing and calibrating thermometers as needed throughout the day.

When needed conduct operational inspection/Pre-op inspections on equipment.

Assist the FSQS Supervisor in all departments when needed. Perform any other duties as directed by the FSQS Supervisor.

Train all associates put in your care to the best of your ability.

Report all equipment failures to the FSQS Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and Engineering immediately.
