Product Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
JOB SUMMARY
As a Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle. This includes developing and implementing product strategies to drive revenue, orders, and gross profit for the portfolio. This also includes leading the product support team to develop and drive strategy execution to ensure product development and provide support to the sales team and customers.
Partnering with the sales and channel teams to identify new business opportunities to drive growth will require an entrepreneurial mindset. The ability to successfully create and implement plans will be key.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and drive global Fall Harnesses, Belts, and Rescue/Evacuation Product Lines including accountability for top line sales and Profit & Loss.
- Define and deliver on winning portfolio strategy through a clear roadmap.
- Define and bring to market new products/solutions. (NPIs)
- Drive commercial launch and ongoing demand/profit optimization initiatives to achieve financial targets.
- Define go-to-market/commercial strategies for portfolio.
- Set and optimize pricing to deliver on growth and profitability objectives.
- Product Lifecyle management with respect to the harnesses, belts, rescue/evacuation product portfolio.
- Sales training on new product launches.
- Handle technical products and application queries.
- Conduct market research and VOC.
- The role may require approximately 25% travel as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related fields.
- 5 or more years’ experience in Product Management and Marketing.
WHAT WE VALUE:
- Master’s degree in business, business management or technical field.
- Experience in Fall Protection/Prevention devices.
- Experience in industrial safety applications.
- Experience influencing at the executive leadership level both internally and within customer organizations.
- Established strategic planning, business case analysis and pricing skills.
- Cross-functional leadership skills across Engineering, PMO, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technical Writing and Technical Support to drive development and release of products.
- Analytical thinking and decision-making at the micro and macro level.
- Agile mindset.
- The ability to articulate how the product meets customer needs.
- Previous product management experience.
