Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure security protocols are being followed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, maintaining clear communication regarding incidents or concerns.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and any irregularities in detailed reports for review by management.
- Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations while maintaining professionalism.
- Participate in ongoing training programs related to loss prevention strategies and security best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid Guard Card and Drivers License.
- Strong conflict management skills and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A background in law enforcement or military service is advantageous but not required.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security threats.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Must possess a valid security guard license or certification as required by local regulations.
