Responsibilities

Oversee the development and marketing of designated Artificial Intelligence (AI) security products that focus on machine learning (ML) software supply chain vulnerabilities, and zero trust tools. Specifically responsible for product development, business development and marketing for a bug bounty platform focused exclusively on protecting AI/ML open-source software (OSS), foundational models, and ML Systems, and the adaptation and launch of a software supply-chain firewall. Work with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to monitor project progress, ensuring a cohesive product development process and successful launch of products designed to meet customer needs and business goals. Supervise one Product Manager. Including above, work hours will be spent approximately:

35% Product Development (Engineering) - Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of engineering enhancements and new features for assigned products from inception to completion. Lead cross-functional teams to attain product goals, ensuring seamless synchronization with strategic objectives. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create user-centered solutions that address the needs of bug bounty hunters and organizations. Create detailed product requirements, specifications, user stories, and wireframes that guide the development of new features and improvements. Establish design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across products. Ensure that designs meet accessibility and usability requirements. Establish clear security guidelines and compliance measures to ensure that AI/ML vulnerabilities are reported and addressed in a responsible and secure manner. Review ongoing projects, updating or modifying product strategy based on recent data or feedback. Maintain industry expertise by staying up-to-date with AI/ML security trends, bug bounty methodologies, and industry best practices to ensure products remain innovative and effective.

45% Business Development (Market Expansion) - Conduct in-depth market research to identify user needs, competitive landscape, emerging trends and solutions/opportunities in AI/ML open-source software security and bug bounty programs (i.e. cyber threats in open-source software). Gather feedback from customers, users, and partners to continuously improve the platforms' functionality and user experience and to create designs that are tailored to customers' needs. Define and prioritize new features, enhancements, and capabilities that enhance effectiveness and usability. Plan and execute product releases, including coordination of marketing efforts, upcoming launches and marketing initiatives, documentation, and customer communication. Collaborate and execute product strategy, considering market trends, customer feedback, and business objectives. Monitor key product metrics and performance indicators to measure the success of new features and identify areas for optimization.

20% Organizational development and integration - Provide advice, mentorship and guidance to support growth of design and engineering teams' skills and expertise in open source software cybersecurity research and product development. Establish and strengthen partnerships between stakeholders. Work with business units to ensure smooth transition and adoption of organizational operations, practices, policies and standards as organization grows.

Requires up to 10% U.S. and international travel, for client and industry meetings within the U.S. and company meetings at offices in Europe. Hybrid remote: May work part-time from a home office in the Seattle area.
