What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer (Urban Transportation Infrastructure Project) position at Protecnium?
Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team on a Major Tunnelling and Heavy Civil Infrastructure Project in East Harlem, New York City, USA.
- Estimated duration of the position: 2 years-Generally, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.
- Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review quality plans, ITPs, and inspection checklists.
- Perform inspections of concrete, steel, and other civil works.
- Support submittals, RFIs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and owner requirements.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in railway/ tunnel/ road/highway/ heavy civil construction projects
- Knowledge of materials testing and documentation systems.
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
-Shifts: Monday to Friday (40 hours weekly).
