Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant (Temporary) will support the accounting and finance function by performing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting with month-end close processes. This role will provide critical support during a period of increased workload. The assignment is full-time and temporary, with an expected duration that is currently undetermined.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and balance sheet accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or variances
- Maintain and update financial records in accordance with company policies
- Assist with audit preparation, including gathering supporting documentation
- Support fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
- Prepare reports and schedules for internal stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, sales, and other departments as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a team
- Team orientation, willingness to learn and take direction.
Salary : $25 - $28
