What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Relations Specialist position at ProTech?
One of our customers is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist. This opportunity will start out as a 3-5 month contract but does have potential to go long term or direct if the workload continues. This is a remote opportunity but may require you to visit facility occasionally so needs to be local to Cleveland.
Summary
The Employee Relations Specialist will play a crucial role in promoting a positive and compliant workplace environment across the organization. The individual will manage the resolve complex employee relations cases, conduct investigations, and ensure alignment with the company policies. They will also address employee concerns, support management, and foster an inclusive culture.
Employee Relations Case Management
• Investigate workplace issues and concerns raised by employees, including disputes, allegations of
discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other potential policy violations.
• Exercise sound judgment in recommending investigation outcomes, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of
all employees.
• Partner with HR, Labor Relations, the Office of the General Counsel, and outside counsel on cases
involving both union-represented and salaried employees.
• Prepare, track, and maintain accurate documentation throughout the investigation process; develop and
implement comprehensive investigation plans to drive timely case closure.
• Manage sensitive employee data and statements with the utmost confidentiality.
• Draft clear and concise investigation reports and maintain meticulous documentation.
• Serve as an expert in crafting corrective actions, PIPs, and termination summaries; partner with leaders on
the creation and storage of these documents.
• Travel as necessary to support complex investigations
2. Trend Analysis and Proactive Recommendations
• Provide quarterly updates to HR and company leaders on ER trends.
• Collaborate with HR Data Analytics to develop and maintain an ER dashboard.
3. HRBP and Training Collaboration
• Partner with the HRBP and Learning teams to identify and recommend relevant training topics.
• Deliver employee relations-related training sessions as needed.
• Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in training development and delivery.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business
* Master's degree preferred but not required
* SHRM certification a plus
Experience
* Prefer 5-7 years experience and 3-4 years with employee relations, investigations, and corrective action.
Salary : $35 - $40
