Pro Tech Mechanical Overview
Pro Tech Mechanical was established in March of 2000 as a Commercial HVAC Service Company and is now a full MEP Mechanical Contractor. We work in Federal, Industrial and Commercial areas as well as providing all types of new and retrofit installations covering the entire South Texas Region. We specialize in; HVAC Central Plant Renovation, Project Management, All Makes and Models of Commercial HVAC, Building Control Systems, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Chemical Treatment, and Water Evaporation Credits .
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for running day-to-day business operations and will directly lead the service and construction department performing commercial HVAC services throughout the Corpus Christi and Houston Metropolitan areas. In addition, the GM has full P&L ownership and is accountable for achieving budgeted sales and profit goals. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and significant commercial HVAC operational experience in the tri-state market. This position will report to our Divisional VP of Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve budgeted revenue and profit goals.
- Develop and implement growth plans across all lines of business
- Lead and manage both Corpus Christi and Houston Branches
- Develop and implement plan to be the employer of choice in the region and increase the size of our field workforce (technicians)
- Lead all departments and functions including all aspects of sales, customer service, quality control, project execution and field operations.
- Develop new client relationships and build a sales capability in the market to build relationships across existing and prospective customers.
- Identify and implement operational improvements across all departments (systems, processes, pricing, quality control, customer service, project estimation and execution, field productivity, etc.).
- Oversee the financial operations of the company, including managing budgets and financial objectives, achievement of sales targets, controlling expenses, providing financial reporting, and delivering results.
- Build long-term business relationships with clients, vendors, sub-contractors and partner companies within the Crete portfolio.
Position Requirements
- Strong leader with a track-record of leading teams to achieve results.
- Desire to lead a company through a period of transition and rapid growth.
- 10 years management experience in the commercial HVAC industry in the tri-state region.
- Previous service management or service sales experience
- Commercial HVAC technical knowledge gained through experience as a technician (sheet metal, pipefitter, service tech), estimator, project manager, engineer, or operations/service manager.
- Previous experience leading teams of 10 or more people
- Previous experience in a P&L responsible role
- Effective communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Work, Excel, etc.)
