Pro-Tech is looking for highly talented shipping and receiving personnel to join our dynamic team. We’re seeking a hardworking professional who likes meeting challenges and surpassing customer expectations. Your chief responsibilities will include executing daily work instructions, communicating variances of plans and being a functioning team member while maintaining acceptable shipping and receiving requirements and safety.
To excel in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of freight carriers, possess forklift certification, understand shipping process and be willing to learn Pro-Tech part numbers and be able to meet quality expectations. The successful candidate will also have outstanding attention to detail and maintain all safety processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inspection: Unloading deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders, checking for damages, and accurately logging incoming stock.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records, organizing stock, and ensuring proper storage.
- Order Preparation: Picking, packing, and labeling goods for shipment.
- Documentation: Preparing shipping orders, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and tracking information.
- Tracking & Communication: Updating shipment statuses, communicating with carriers or other departments when required.
- Warehouse Operations: Maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Note: This job requires the employees to be outside in the elements.
Requirements:
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for accuracy in counting, recording, and documentation.
- Organizational Skills: Managing multiple shipments and priorities.
- Communication: Interacting positively with drivers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Logistics Knowledge: Understanding shipping procedures, regulations (especially for hazardous materials), and carrier requirements.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
