Looking for experienced IT staff and field network technicians. Experience with ISP installing cable is a huge plus. This is a 1099 Subcontractor position and so you handle all your taxes, accept and decline work within reason, and are responsible for your own insurance, workers comp, etc. You must have cable pulling experience and tools. This is primarily an IT consulting job but the cable pulling experience is needed.
You absolutely must own a reliable vehicle, be able to pass a national criminal background and drug screen.

Summary
As a Field Network Technician, you will be integral to maintaining and enhancing our network infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer networking systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Assist in cabling and network setup for various IT infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with team members to implement routing and network protocols.
- Support the maintenance of network security measures, including VPN and IDS configurations.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills in WAN, Cisco technologies, and system administration.
- Adhere to workers' compensation laws and safety protocols while performing fieldwork.
Qualifications
- Proficient in computer networking and telecommunication systems
- Experience with cabling, including Cat5 and Cat6 installations
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and network installation
- Knowledge of fiber splicing and VoIP technologies
- Strong customer service skills and field service experience
- Understanding of network schematics and Ethernet configurations
- Experience with Cisco routers and VPN systems
- Background in IT and system administration, including cloud security
