IT Project Coordinator (Healthcare Infrastructure)
Onsite Columbus, OH
We are seeking an **IT Project Coordinator** with experience supporting IT infrastructure projects in hospitals or healthcare facilities. This role partners with clinical, informatics, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure teams to support planning, deployment, and coordination of technology solutions across healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate day-to-day activities for IT infrastructure projects supporting healthcare operations.
· Assist with planning and executing infrastructure upgrades across hospitals and clinics.
· Collaborate with IT, clinical informatics, cybersecurity, and compliance teams.
· Help maintain project schedules, resource plans, and risk logs.
· Track deliverables and ensure adherence to HIPAA, HITECH, and security standards.
· Coordinate and document meetings, agendas, action items, and follow‑ups.
· Support deployments involving EHR infrastructure (e.g., Epic, Cerner), PACS, IoT medical devices, and telehealth platforms.
· Assist with equipment tracking, vendor coordination, and go‑live readiness.
· Maintain documentation such as network diagrams, configuration records, and asset inventory.
· Identify risks or delays and escalate appropriately to avoid clinical impact.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in IT, Healthcare Informatics, or similar field (or equivalent experience).
· 2–4 years of IT project coordination experience, preferably in healthcare.
· Experience supporting IT infrastructure projects in hospitals or clinical environments.
· Knowledge of healthcare IT systems such as EHRs, PACS, medical devices, or clinical networks.
· Understanding of HIPAA/HITECH and protected health information security.
· Familiarity with project tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or similar.
· Strong communication skills, including ability to work with clinicians and non-technical staff.
· Highly organized with experience balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Certifications
· CompTIA Project or CAPM
· ITIL Foundations
· PMP
· CHIT or similar healthcare IT certification
· Familiarity with HITRUST, NIST, or healthcare security frameworks
Work Environment
· Fully onsite in Columbus, OH.
· May involve after-hours or on-call support during go‑lives or infrastructure cutovers.
· Must be comfortable working in regulated and patient-focused environments.
