Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires a strong mechanical and technical background, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, and maintenance at client locations across the US. The Field Service Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our systems while delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates MUST live within 30 minutes drive of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment at client sites.
• Work with logic controllers and hydraulic systems to ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate with after sales team to understand client needs and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Provide training and support to customers on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while on-site.

Skills

• Proficient in using diagnostic tools including voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
• Strong background as an industrial electrician with experience in field service roles.
• Familiarity with logic controllers and hydraulic systems is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Excellent customer relation skills required with the ability to courteously and effectively communicate with customers.
• Superior mechanical, electrical, and customer relations skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience with PC computers preferred.
• Experience with PLC & servo controlled equipment a plus.
• Previous experience with field service/travel preferred.
