Position OverviewThe Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable functions, conducting thorough financial analysis and reporting, overseeing auditing and purchasing activities, validating billing processes, and preparing critical data for grants. The analyst will ensure accuracy, protect margins, and drive accountability through diligent cost tracking and service profitability analysis. Proficiency in core financial systems is essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Oversee invoice generation, monitor collections, and ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Accounts Payable (AP) Processing: Review and process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain accurate AP records.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and management reports to support decision-making.
- Auditing and Compliance: Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and records to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
- Purchasing and PO Approvals: Coordinate purchasing activities, review purchase orders for accuracy, and approve POs in line with policy.
- Accuracy and Margin Protection: Validate financial data to safeguard profit margins and ensure financial accuracy across processes.
- Billing Integrity: Ensure billing processes are robust by validating vendor invoices and reconciling licenses on a monthly basis.
- Accountability and Cost Tracking: Track and analyze cost-per-client metrics, conduct margin analysis, and assess service profitability to inform strategic decisions.
- Grant Data Preparation: Compile and prepare financial data for tax credits, workforce grants, and development grants in compliance with funding requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency with QuickBooks, PSA billing module, vendor portals, Microsoft Excel, and real-time dashboard tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience in a financial analyst or similar role within a relevant industry.
- Hands-on experience with grants administration or financial reporting for grant-funded projects.
- Familiarity with auditing practices and purchasing procedures.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
