What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Prosthodontics & Implant Dentistry?
We are a steady growing family practice looking to expand our staff as we transition into our new location.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical coding as necessary
Skills
- Proficient in taking and developing dental x-rays
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations
- Strong assisting skills, including knowledge of infection control protocols
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and interpretation
- Ability to take vital signs and record patient information accurately
- Proficient in aseptic technique for maintaining a sterile environment
- Experience working as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Your skills in X-Ray, CAD, assisting, Infection control, Medical imaging, Vital signs, and Aseptic technique, will be utilized to provide high-quality care to our patients.
