Job Summary
We’re hiring a dedicated Armed Security Officer to maintain a safe and professional environment for our clients. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong awareness, sound judgment, and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to respond effectively to incidents and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols to maintain visibility and deter unwanted activity
- Monitor and control access to facilities and restricted zones
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies
- Apply verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts safely
- Provide assistance to individuals in need, including First Aid/CPR when necessary
- Complete accurate incident and activity reports using the Belfry Reporting System
- Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and clients
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Armed Security License and firearms certification
- CPR/First Aid, OC/Pepper Spray, Handcuffing, and Narcan certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or related field required
- Strong knowledge of public safety and security procedures
- Excellent communication, judgment, and conflict-management skills
- Professional appearance, reliability, and punctuality required
- Must have reliable transportation and availability for overnight/weekend shifts
