Contract

Responsibilities
- Apply paint and specialty finishes to scenic elements, sets, props, and other fabricated pieces.
- Operate HVLP spray guns and apply water-based and urethane paints.
- Create decorative faux finishes, including:
- Wood graining
- Marbleizing
- Aging
- Sponging
- Rag rolling
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow shop safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Required: Experience using spray guns (HVLP).
- Experience with water-based and urethane paint systems.
- Proven experience creating faux finishes such as wood graining, marbleizing, aging, sponging, and rag rolling.
- Knowledge of finishing techniques and color theory.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE while painting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Understanding of shop safety standards and procedures.
