What You’ll Be Doing
The contracted Excel/VBA/Power Query Consultant position at ProsperSpark, LLC will be responsible for completing Excel/VBA/Power Query projects for ProsperSpark. You will be designing, building, fixing, and testing Excel spreadsheets, templates, and tools utilizing Excel, VBA code, Power Query, and/or Airtable. This position requires expert-level Excel and VBA skills. In most cases, you will work with a Senior Excel/VBA Consultant, who will manage the client relationship. On occasion, you will work directly with the client (usually on small projects). This position requires some availability during regular business hours throughout the workweek.
Who You Are
You are a data ninja that is an expert with Microsoft Excel, VBA (macros), and Power Query. The statements below describe you:
- You have been the “Excel person” at each place you’ve worked.
- You love designing forms, reports, dashboards, and templates in Excel.
- You’ve lost track of how many VBA macros you’ve written over the years.
- You find it fun to put dashboards together and analyze data.
- You find connecting an API to Excel exciting and challenging.
- You have completed more financial models in Excel than you can count.
- You take direction well and welcome feedback.
- You prioritize client relationships, and you know how to cultivate them.
- You are serious about being a professional consultant.
Bonus Points (any of the following):
- You have Power Query skills. (This one is most important)
- You have Airtable skills.
- You have Zapier skills.
- You have Google Data Studio skills.
- You have Power BI skills.
