JOB DESCRIPTION: A growing wine and beer equipment distributor in the New York area seeking a fulltime Field Service Technician to be part of the company’s Service team. The preferred candidate has a good Electrical as well as mechanical repair and troubleshooting background. This position requires Travel throughout the week, both local, nationwide, and at times international. Must have excellent driving record, a valid driver’s license, and a US passport. Preferred candidate has some experience in the packaging equipment, labelers, and filling equipment.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Position responsibilities: to install, service, repair, and maintain Equipment sold by our company.
- Troubleshoot, identify root cause, and solve operational issues associated with Equipment at customer’s location, and Phone Support.
- Complete and submit Company Service Reports on machines, system installations and Service Repairs in a timely manner
- Submit accurate and timely Expense Reports
- Communicate daily with Technical Service Dept.
- Familiarize oneself with all Company machinery and technology
- Communicate effectively (verbal and written) in a team environment
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of experience in Service Field
- Proficiency in some or all: Electrical, Mechanical, and pneumatic
- PLC troubleshooting and programming
- Must Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Able to work well with other team members
