The Employee Benefits Client Advocate serves as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their employee benefits programs, ensuring exceptional service delivery, timely issue resolution, and strong client relationships. This role bridges the gap between clients, carriers, and internal account teams to support smooth benefits administration and a positive employee experience for client organizations. This is a growth-oriented role with a clear trajectory towards rapid financial and professional advancement.
Please note, this is a role base in Savannah, GA.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day contact for client inquiries related to health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other employee benefits
- Resolve escalated claims, billing, and eligibility issues by working directly with insurance carrier and client teams
- Support open enrollment processes, including communication materials, survey technologies, and employee questions
- Maintain accurate client records, plan documents, and correspondence within the agency system
- Partner with the Principal Consultant to prepare for renewal meetings and client reviews
- Educate client HR contacts and employees on plan provisions, coverage details, and available resources
- Generally quickly respond to client-level inquiries with excellence and accuracy
- Identify trends in client issues and recommend process improvements
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.) in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Active Life & Health insurance license (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe)
- Willingness to adopt knowledge of group health insurance products, healthcare, and benefits terminology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AI-native platforms
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset with a client-first approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Sales and Account Management skills are positive attributes to possess, but not required
- Experience with carrier portals and HRIS/benefits enrollment platforms
- Familiarity with self-funded and fully-insured plan structures
