POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for preparing and processing outgoing interoffice mail and other items and delivering them to the proper banking locations. Secondary backup for all print room, statement processing, and mail room operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Assumes responsibility for the efficient pickup and delivery of items for assigned Prosperity locations
Primary Responsibilities in this role include:
- Preparing daily courier bags for dissemination of the daily assigned route
- A morning mail run to ensure any last minute items are accounted for and sorted before the daily route
- Daily inspection of the van to ensure its proper maintenance and upkeep to maximize safety and efficiency on the road
- Safe and efficient driving habits between banking center locations
- Meeting all expected pickup times and local banking center expectations for the daily assigned courier
- Picking up all items set aside for the daily courier as well as delivering the proper items and bag to the correctly specified banking center
- Sorting all items that have returned to Lubbock and placing them in their proper bins, mail trays or other specified locations
- Logging mileage
- Refueling vans before end of shift
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time to accomplish required objectives
Other potential duties:
Responsible for statement and notices inserting operations.
- Sort the statements on the belt and ensure they are placed in the proper tray
- Verify the trays coming off of the belt and ensure that they are sleeved and strapped appropriately
- Take inventory and restock items needed to accomplish the day’s run
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the course of these duties
Responsible for mail room operations.
- Sort mail to various locations and recipients
- Learn where to pick up mail and at what times
- Run the mail machine
- Properly handle permitted vs non-permitted mail
Assumes responsibility for the delivery of bank operation items from Ave Q to Operations Center.
- Picks up all items from appropriate locations at Ave Q and delivers to Operations Center.
- Picks up all items from appropriate bin at Operations Center and delivers to Ave Q.
Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Exchange. Knowledge of Prosperity’s branch and ATM locations. General banking knowledge.
Experience Required: Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid Driver’s License. Driving record must be very good.
Physical Strength: Medium work; exerts up to 50 lbs occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently.
