What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Communications Coordinator position at Prospera Financial?

The purpose of the Corporate Communications Coordinator includes overseeing the day-to-day execution of marketing plan action items. This will include: support for the marketing, communications and public relations plans for the Firm, project management for assigned projects and events coordination. 


Primary Duties:

·      Responsible for writing, branding, editing, and scheduling firm-wide communications

·      Support in overseeing Websites including Prospera’s Internet and Intranet

·      Responsible for coordination with Prospera’s PR firm to develop and maintain PR and communication calendar

·      Responsible for writing and creating marketing collateral such as white papers, brochures and website copy

·      Support the firm’s social media footprint

·      Strong understanding and implementation of SEO/SEM for the firm

·      Support the marketing coordinators and conference planning team with event planning for the Firm including, but not limited to, the Annual Advisor Conference, the Director’s Circle Conference, and Service Associate University

·      Responsible for maintaining and updating forms to adhere to Prospera’s brand standards

·      Responsible for overseeing and executing the Prospera advisor anniversary program

·      Support Marketing Coordinator in advisor marketing projects and transitions as needed– including content creation, website development and maintenance, and Prospera brand store orders

·      Responsible for maintenance of all Your Way sites

·      Various other duties as necessary


Supervision: No direct reports


Education and Experience:


·      4-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, other related fields, or equivalent relevant business experience

·      1 year of broad Finance experience preferred

·      1 year of Marketing experience preferred


Knowledge/Skills/Certifications:


·      Strong editing and copywriting skills required

·      Event planning skills required

·      Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail required

·      Customer service focused

·      Project Management skills

·      Ability to be strategic and creative

·      Prior Wordpress, Salesforce, Act-on and InDesign usage preferred


Physical Requirements:


·      Ability to speak, to hear and to operate business equipment such as computers, printers, etc.


Environmental Requirements:


·      Professional office environment

·      Must be located in the Dallas corporate office
