Why This Role Exists
The Facilities Manager plays a critical role in advancing the mission of The Prospector by ensuring our physical space operates safely, efficiently, and with excellence. This role exists to maintain and protect the theater’s buildings and grounds so that Prospects and guests can thrive in a clean, safe, and fully functional environment. By managing systems, vendors, and facility operations, the Facilities Manager directly supports daily operations and long-term sustainability.
What You’ll Do (aka Your Sparkle in Action)
- Own the upkeep of the entire facility, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, and security systems
- Monitor, maintain, and repair equipment across the theater grounds, keeping accurate maintenance records
- Manage relationships and contracts with external vendors (electrical, plumbing, security, etc.)
- Build and oversee a facility work order system, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed efficiently
- Ensure the building consistently meets all safety and code requirements
- Partner with the Theater Manager to identify issues, propose solutions, and communicate costs and timelines
- Provide regular updates on ongoing and upcoming facility projects
- Support event operations by coordinating setup and breakdown logistics
- Oversee custodial needs and step in to support cleaning operations when necessary
- Supervise and coach Prospects working in facilities and landscaping roles
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment aligned with Prospector values
What You Bring to the Table
- At least 3 years of experience in facilities management, including supervising others
- Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to execute projects from start to finish
- Solid organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams
- High school diploma with relevant maintenance training (or equivalent experience)
- Physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- A high-energy, “can-do” attitude
- Flexibility, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship
- The ability to balance being both supportive and accountable when working with Prospects

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
