DS Sports is the parent company of six premier baseball event organizations — RussMatt, Snowbird, Palm Beach Challenge, Prospect Wire, USA Premier, and Greater Orlando Baseball. Together, we deliver top-tier baseball events, tournaments, and showcases that attract teams from across the country. Our internship program offers students the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, operations, and execution while working with DS Sports and its family of event companies.
Qualifications:
- Passion for baseball and a basic understanding of the sport's rules, terminology, and culture.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Prior experience in event planning, sports management, or customer service is a plus, but not required.
Job Duties:
- Ticket Preparation and Inventory
- Oversight of Gate Attendants
- Assist with daily Business Operations
- Maintain communication with Gate Manager & Director
- Weekly Planning for Upcoming Events
- Help with Scheduling Employees
- Tracking Vendor Sales
- Invoicing & Collections
Additional Information:
- Candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules.
- Opportunities for travel may be available, depending on the scope of events and organizational needs.
- Successful completion of the internship may lead to potential future employment opportunities within the organization.
- Pay is $14-18/hr.
