- Create college prep engaging lessons for a variety of students.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Sponsoring a Club or Coaching a Team (both may include a stipend)
- Serving on Committees or Task Forces (minimum once a month)
- B.A. or B.S. required in the specific content area (e.g. B.A. in History when applying for a Social Studies position).
- Current Colorado Teaching License: Secondary Certification preferred.
- Must meet the state certification requirements within the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
- Demonstrated experience in the instruction of students with varied learning styles and levels of mastery.
- Commitment to Core Knowledge curriculum.
- Commitment to implementation of Character Education and Positive Behavior System.
- Communicate with parents, students, staff, vendors, and Administrators.
- Read and interpret documents such as rules, policy and expectation, agreements, rubrics, scope and sequence documents and assessments.
- Understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
- Work collaboratively with various groups.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate tasks.
