Job Title: Scraper Operator
Location: Casper / Shirley Basin Area – Wyoming
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Union
Reports To: Foreman / Superintendent
Position Summary
The Scraper Operator is responsible for operating self-propelled scrapers used in earthmoving and mass grading operations on heavy civil and industrial construction projects while maintaining safe and productive jobsite operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate scraper equipment safely and efficiently during earthmoving operations.
- Cut, load, haul, spread, and compact material according to project requirements.
- Maintain haul roads and work areas for safe and productive operations.
- Conduct daily inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Follow site grading plans and supervisor direction.
- Work safely around other operators, trucks, and ground personnel.
- Maintain production targets while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to all company safety protocols, site-specific safety requirements, and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous scraper operating experience preferred.
- Experience in heavy civil, mining, or industrial earthwork projects preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented construction environment.
- Strong understanding of equipment safety and operational procedures.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
