What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy Technician - RWMC position at Prospect CharterCARE, LLC?
Summary: Maintains all disinfecting equipment, cleans and disinfects all endoscopes and ancillary endoscopic equipment. Maintains the cleaning room. Assists the nurse in the procedure room prior, during and after procedures.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Licensure: Current RI CNA license and CPR certification required. Consistently maintain competence by participating in continuing education, enhancing clinical knowledge related to age, and disease specific populations.
Experience: Minimum 2 years CNA experience preferably in a hospital setting.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Requires an ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach without restriction. Must be able to life 25 to 50 pounds utilizing good body mechanics. Must be able to push equipment such as beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. May be exposed to all patient care elements within the hospital setting. Must meet all safety-training requirements relative to safe work place ensuring patient, staff, and visitor safety. Must meet all health testing requirements such as TB skin test, annually.
