The Vehicle Dynamics team designs and develops how the vehicle drives, focusing on steering, handling, braking, and overall performance. This role involves both in-office work and travel to test sites for on-vehicle validation.
Role Overview
- Develop, maintain, and use vehicle/system models to support vehicle design and performance development.
- Analyze simulation outputs to provide data-driven guidance on dynamics and durability.
- Conduct subjective vehicle evaluations using Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators.
- Correlate and analyze real-world test data to improve simulation accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5 years in automotive engineering with strong understanding of vehicle dynamics principles.
- Tools: 3 years’ experience with ADAMS, CarRealTime, CarMaker, CarSim, or similar tools.
- Software: Solid grasp of Matlab/Simulink; familiarity with Python or C preferred.
- Education: BS/BEng or MS/MEng in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.
Preferred
- 8 years’ automotive or motorsport experience.
- Knowledge of SAE standards and vehicle assembly processes.
- Experience with simulation/analysis tools such as Dymola, Carsim, Matlab, Python.
- Creative problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
