About the Role
We are seeking a UX Researcher with strong Competitive & Market Research capabilities to support product, design, and strategy teams for our client—a leading global consumer electronics industry innovator. This is a high-impact contractor role through Prospance Inc., ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
You will work across product, UX, and business groups to deliver insights that shape next-generation B2B products and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is independent, analytical, and highly skilled at converting research into clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders and leadership.
What You’ll Do
✔ Conduct competitive research to evaluate industry trends, benchmark competitors, and uncover actionable insights.
✔ Perform market research to understand user segments, market conditions, and emerging opportunities to support product strategy.
✔ Lead UX Research initiatives—surveys, interviews, heuristic evaluations, secondary research—to understand user needs and pain points.
✔ Visualize and communicate insights using tools like Figma, slides, and modern UX research frameworks.
✔ Produce polished, executive-ready presentations that clearly articulate findings and influence decision-making.
✔ Perform ongoing competitor and market monitoring to support long-term strategic planning beyond single projects.
✔ Work independently to drive research agendas, frame problems, uncover opportunities, and guide leadership direction.
✔ Adapt quickly and use rapid secondary research to support time-sensitive product decisions.
✔ Conduct B2B-focused research or ramp quickly to understand complex B2B products, workflows, and user personas.
What We’re Looking For
🎯 Must-Haves:
- 6 years of UX Research, Market Research, or Competitive Analysis experience
- Strong knowledge of B2B products OR ability to learn technical B2B ecosystems quickly
- Experience conducting end-to-end research (scoping → execution → insights → storytelling)
- Expertise with Figma and modern visualization tools
- Ability to influence leadership decisions using research-driven insights
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting findings to senior stakeholders
- Ability to work confidently with secondary research, surveys, and fast-turnaround deliverables
Nice to Have
⭐ Experience in consumer electronics or enterprise tech
⭐ Experience collaborating with product, UX, strategy, and marketing teams
