Senior CAE Optimization Engineer – Contract Role (EV Industry)

Your work will support multi-domain engineering groups—NVH, crash, durability, and manufacturing—to reduce mass, improve structural efficiency, and guide key design decisions.

🔧 What You’ll Do
- Set up and run structural optimization studies including design space definition, constraints, load cases, and objectives
- Translate optimization output into practical, manufacturable design recommendations
- Execute subsystem and full-vehicle optimization focusing on stiffness, stress, and mass savings
- Apply multi-domain and multi-material optimization methodologies
- Use industry-leading CAE tools: OptiStruct, NASTRAN, Hyperworks, BetaCAE
- Partner with cross-functional teams to balance performance across attributes
- Provide early design-phase guidance on structure concepts
- Script in Python or TCL for automation (preferred but not required)
🎓 What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- 4 years of CAE experience, including 1–2 years focused on optimization
- Strong understanding of FEA fundamentals & structural simulation
- Hands-on experience with OptiStruct/NASTRAN, Hyperworks, and BetaCAE
- A fast learner with strong analytical thinking and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving design challenges
