Hive is a fast-growing home technology company seeking a highly trustworthy, detail-driven Lead Bookkeeper to take full ownership of our financial operations. This is a key leadership role for someone who is hands-on, experienced, and committed to accuracy, confidentiality, and operational excellence.

About The Role

The Lead Bookkeeper will manage and execute all day-to-day financial functions, including:

• Accounts Payable & Vendor Management – entering bills, scheduling payments, and maintaining accurate vendor records.
• CFO-Level Duties – forecasting, budgeting, cash-flow management, financial strategy, and executive reporting.
• Bank & Account Reconciliations – timely and accurate reconciliation across all accounts each month.
• QuickBooks Online Administration – full command of QBO, including reporting, custom rules, classes, and job-costing.
• Financial Policy & Internal Controls – creating and maintaining processes that ensure accuracy, compliance, and transparency.
• Oversight of accounts receivable personnel
  
  
  

This is a supervisory-only role. We are looking for someone who excels in both strategic financial leadership and hands-on execution.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

• Extremely trustworthy, discreet, and dependable
• Fluent in accounting best practices (GAAP preferred)
• Expert-level in QuickBooks Online

• Highly analytical, organized, and process-driven
• Comfortable producing CFO-level insights while also handling day-to-day accounting tasks
• A proactive communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or similar roles
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong background in AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Ability to work in the office Monday–Friday
• Credit check required

• Three strong professional references required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
