Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Mechanical Drafter on behalf of an established Mechanical/HVAC Contractor. The role will be based out of their Nassau County, Long Island office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and coordinating mechanical drawings for commercial, public and institutional projects across New York.
Candidates should have strong Revit and AutoCAD experience within mechanical construction, with knowledge of HVAC systems including boilers, chillers, piping and ventilation.
Projects range into the millions ($) and include commercial buildings, schools, airports and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing mechanical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Preparing HVAC, piping, ventilation and equipment drawings.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Coordinating mechanical drawings and layouts.
- Working with Project Managers, Engineers and field teams on revisions.
- Updating drawings to reflect design and site changes.
- 5 years’ Mechanical/HVAC drafting experience.
- Strong Revit and AutoCAD experience.
- Commercial mechanical construction experience.
- Knowledge of HVAC, piping and ventilation systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Competitive Salary: $100k–$120k Depending on Experience
