Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and documenting medical records accurately.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
- Maintain strict infection control standards using aseptic techniques and adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Review documentation for accuracy, update electronic medical records (EMR) systems, Dentrix, and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state licensing requirements.
- Proven experience working in a dental office setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles when working with pediatric patients.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.

Pay: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour
