JOB TITLE: Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the provider during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and breakdown treatment operatories
- Take digital x-rays
- Fabricate temporary crowns within a designated time frame
- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Adhere to all OSHA and safety policies and procedures
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures
- Perform various office tasks as necessary
- All other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Expanded Function Dental Assistant certification is required
- Proficiency in all EFDA functions
- Proficiency in digital x-rays (X-ray certification is required)
- Resume must demonstrate stable employment history
