The Corporate Development Analyst will report to the SVP, Strategy and Corporate Development, and will be responsible for facilitating management reporting meetings, performing internal and external business analysis, researching market trends, conducting competitive market analysis, and performing company valuation of potential acquisitions.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist in analysis and preparation of materials for management reporting meetings, including Investor Monthly Updates, Senior Management Group Monthly Reports, Senior Management Group Quarterly Reports, Executive Committee Monthly Meetings, Board of Directors and Committee Meetings, and Townhall Meetings.
- Assist in the analysis and preparation of materials for strategic planning meetings and any other strategy-related meetings.
- Assist in the development of strategic initiatives.
- Assist in developing business case presentation materials for potential investment opportunities to be presented to the Executive Committee.
- Support market, competitor, and trends research to support strategic decisions on potential opportunities.
- Gather research and information from key internal stakeholders to support the execution of strategic initiatives.
- Monitor consumer, competitive and macroeconomic trends related to the company’s operating environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or in another quantitative field.
- Some experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or similar roles.
- Strong quantitative skills with proven ability to communicate complex findings in a way that drives business decision-making.
- Experience working in fast-paced, performance-focused environments, and a proactive mindset towards solving problems.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of ambiguity and reach the right outcome.
- Experience operating as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Results-oriented, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and expeditiously.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Expert in PowerPoint with proven ability to build effective presentations for management consumption.
- Experience building excel-based models is preferred.
- Property and Casualty insurance experience preferred.
