Job Description

Provide support for the design, development, and delivery of web or stand-alone applications relating to the implementation of geospatial technology for natural resource management.  Products include web sites, web map viewers, non‐spatial web applications, and complex spatially-enabled interactive websites

Qualifications

The minimum requirements for this position include all of the following:
• Strong skills in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, NodeJS, and Java or .Net development.• Experience with front‐end Javascript libraries (preferably Angular).
• Development experience building RESTful web services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or PostGIS, or other relevant SQL.

Professional certification, or relevant coursework in computer science or related discipline, and seven (7) years of relevant professional work experience designing and building applications.

Bachelor’s degree related to computer science or related discipline and five (5) years of relevant professional work experience designing and building applications.

Graduate degree related to computer science or related discipline and three (3) years of relevant professional work experience designing and building applications designing and building applications.

• PhD degree related to computer science or related discipline and one (1) year of relevant professional work experience.

• Business Tools – understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate is advanced with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, and proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio with the ability to quickly learn other tools as necessary.
