What are the responsibilities and job description for the Go-To-Market Engineer position at ProService Hawaii?
At ProService Hawaii, we’re building the systems and intelligence layer that powers a modern, AI-driven go-to-market motion — and we’re hiring our first GTM Engineer to lead the build. We’re Hawaii’s largest HR solutions provider, serving more than 3,000 local businesses and 50,000 employees statewide, and we’ve been recognized as one of Hawai?is Best Places to Work for 20 consecutive years. The work we do matters to real businesses and real people across the islands — and the systems this role builds will shape how we grow.
Most people still think about AI in marketing as chatbots and email automation. That’s not this. We’re seeing product marketing, design, and engineering converge into integrated systems, and the gap isn’t who knows the tools — it’s who can architect the system that makes them work together. This is a senior individual-contributor role — equal parts strategist and builder. You’ll diagnose what’s working across the revenue org, make opinionated recommendations backed by data, and then build the automations and AI systems that execute on them. You won’t be handed a polished roadmap. You’ll walk in with a point of view, find the bottlenecks everyone else has learned to live with, and ship the systems that remove them.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Own the data foundation
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and engineering in a function that hasn’t traditionally required both. The tools exist — the gap is someone who can diagnose what’s broken, make an opinionated call on what to fix first, and then build the solution. If you’re the kind of person who gets restless when you can see a better system and no one’s building it yet, this role was designed for you.
A few things are not optional — they’re the job: you need to be a hands-on builder who ships working software directly, not someone who specs work for an engineering team to execute. You need a consultant’s lens on GTM problems — structured thinking, clear outputs, and a bias toward recommendation over observation. You don’t just report the funnel; you tell us what to do about it. And you need to be able to bring non-technical stakeholders along as you change how they work. We’ve built a team that will push you, give you real problems to solve, and recognize results — but this role requires someone who arrives ready to lead, not wait to be led.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
We're looking for a systems thinker with high agency and genuine GTM instincts — someone who breaks problems into composable, reusable parts, anticipates downstream implications, and doesn't leave technical debt for someone else to unwind. Prior experience owning AI and automation workflows end to end — not just contributing to or consuming them — is required.
Ideally you bring SQL and light Python or TypeScript for integration prototyping, hands-on experience with advertising platforms like LinkedIn, Google, or Meta, familiarity with agent frameworks for multi-step AI workflows, and a background in B2B SaaS, PEO/HR services, or selling into businesses where a traditional web presence is less established. Roots in Hawaii's business community or experience selling to local employers is a plus.
Here's What a Strong Fit Looks Like
Hawaii (Hybrid) or Pacific Time Zone (Remote)
We welcome applications from candidates based in Hawaii, who would work a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday–Thursday, option for remote Monday & Friday), as well as fully remote candidates based on the US Mainland. Remote candidates must be available during Hawaii Standard Time (HST / UTC-10) business hours, with preference given to those in the Pacific Time Zone.
Compensation
$99,670.00 to $137,046.00 annually, commensurate with experience.
Compensation at ProService is tied to performance. Strong results are recognized and rewarded, and there are clear paths to advance within the GTM function and across the broader organization. We set high expectations and back them with real investment in the people who deliver.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Own the data foundation
- Design and maintain the data architecture the GTM org runs on — account and contact data quality, deduplication, and reliable data flow between CRM, enrichment tools, ad platforms, and sales tooling.
- Audit the existing workflows and stack and build your own backlog — identify what’s missing, broken, or duplicated, and prioritize the fixes without waiting for a roadmap.
- Own pipeline hygiene and the integrity of the records every play depends on.
- Build and own data-enabled, trigger-based outreach workflows — playbooks, ICP segmentation and scoring, and a structured, defensible account universe.
- Work in “signal ? insight ? action”: ingest intent and firmographic signals, score accounts, and route the right intelligence to the right rep at the right time.
- Continuously sharpen targeting by identifying high-signal triggers and improving precision over time.
- Automate manual GTM processes end to end — account research, outbound sequencing, internal ops — using LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), event-driven automation (Zapier, n8n), and custom API/webhook integrations.
- Take high-impact AI use cases from prototype to production, building for scale rather than one-off fixes.
- Productize and document what works so a tool built for one rep becomes reusable for the team — and partner with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to build what they actually need.
- Operationalize enriched account lists into LinkedIn and Google audience platforms for coordinated, multi-touch reach.
- Build audience suppression and match-rate workflows so paid budget targets the right accounts with minimal waste.
- Connect ad-platform data and first-party engagement into feedback loops that tie campaign activity to down-funnel pipeline.

Roots in Hawaii's business community or experience selling to local employers is a plus.
Here's What a Strong Fit Looks Like
- You write, debug, and ship working software using Claude Code or comparable agentic/AI dev tooling — without depending on a separate engineering team to execute your ideas. You’ve built and productized an outbound automation that pulled from a live enrichment source, sequenced outreach, and updated CRM records — and your sales team still uses it.
- You have direct experience with a CRM data model (Salesforce or HubSpot) — you’ve built on it, automated within it, and you’re comfortable owning data quality, deduplication, and record integrity. You’ve wired up a signal-to-action workflow that connected intent data to a rep’s daily prioritization queue, reducing manual research time and improving connect rates.
- You have a track record of changing how an organization works — ideally without the formal authority to mandate it. Ambiguity doesn’t slow you down. You drove adoption of a new workflow or toolset that stuck, and you can describe both how you got buy-in and what the before/after looked like for the team.
- You can pull, shape, and reason about data well enough to baseline today’s performance and prove the impact of what you build. You built a dashboard or report that made a previously invisible GTM metric visible to leadership — and it changed how decisions were made.
- You communicate clearly to non-technical stakeholders and bring people along as you change how they work. You’ve presented a new system or workflow to a skeptical audience and left the room with alignment — not just awareness.
