Loading Dock Security Officer - Day Shift

Loading Dock Security Officer – $23.00/hr

• Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control all loading dock access for vehicles, drivers, and personnel
• Verify carrier/driver identification and match against delivery or pickup paperwork
• Log all inbound and outbound trucks, trailers, and shipments
• Enforce site access control procedures and challenge unauthorized entry
• Coordinate with, receiving, and facilities staff on scheduled deliveries
• Coordinate package delivery to different site partners, including tracking in system(s)
• Report safety hazards, incidents, or policy violations to the site supervisor
• Maintain a daily activity log and shift handoff notes

Duties and responsibilities:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
• Manage security services and related operations including preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, payroll, supervision and training at an assigned site.
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of security officers, ensuring effective performance and adherence to protocols.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
• Advanced computer skills to utilize innovative, access control technology at client-specific sites
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
• Respond to emergencies, investigate disturbances, and help ensure the safety and security of people and property.

Physical Requirements:

• CPR - Current
• Driver's License - Valid
• PILB - Current

This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age
• CA Security Guard Card
• Minimum 1 year security experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Clean driving record and valid driver license
• Capable of following complex instructions
• Strong interpersonal skills
