Job Overview:
Prosegur Security is hiring a reliable, experienced armed Security Site Supervisor. The armed Security Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations at an assigned client site. This role provides direct supervision of armed officers, ensures compliance with post orders and firearms regulations, and serves as the primary on-site liaison between security staff, management, and the client. The Site Supervisor leads by example, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to safety and protection.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise, direct and support armed security officers assigned to the site.
- Assign posts, conduct shift briefings, and ensure coverage at all times.
- Monitor officer performance and appearance, enforcing compliance with uniforms, firearms standards, and company policies.
- Provide coaching, training, and corrective feedback to officers as needed.
Operations Management
- Conduct routine inspections of posts, patrols, and equipment to ensure readiness.
- Serve as first responder to incidents, alarms, and emergencies; take charge until resolved or relieved.
- Review and approve incident reports, daily activity logs, and supervisor reports.
- Maintain firearms readiness and ensure all officers are properly qualified and certified.
- Oversee access control, visitor management, and surveillance monitoring as required by client post orders.
Client Relations
- Act as the primary on-site contact for the client, addressing concerns and reporting issues.
- Provide daily updates and maintain open communication with the client and company management.
- Assist in developing and maintaining post orders tailored to client needs.
Compliance & Training
- Ensure all officers meet state licensing, firearms, and company training requirements.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for armed security operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 3 – 5 years prior supervisory experience in the security industry.
- Must have State Guard License
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively motivate and guide a team.
- Ability to make clear decisions during crisis or high-stress periods.
- May be exposed to high levels of noise or variations in weather and temperature.
- Must be reliable, demonstrate a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior.
- Proficient computer skills are required (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Experience: Prior service in Military Police, law enforcement, or as a certified corrections officer is required
- Firearms: Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license is required in applicable states
- Training: Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use
- Screening: Must pass random drug testing and a psychological evaluation (MMPI exam)
- Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and managing potentially intense confrontations
- Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
