About The Role
As a Team Lead, you can expect to review felony case files from law enforcement, direct and lead further investigation, evaluate, and charge cases, negotiate the plea recommendations, and conduct jury trials. In addition, this candidate will carry a trial line case load and assist other team members by advising on their case load. They would regularly collaborate with the investigators and victim witness advocates.

About The Role
As a Team Lead, you can expect to review felony case files from law enforcement, direct and lead further investigation, evaluate, and charge cases, negotiate the plea recommendations, and conduct jury trials. In addition, this candidate will carry a trial line case load and assist other team members by advising on their case load. They would regularly collaborate with the investigators and victim witness advocates.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviews case files submitted by law enforcement, directs and oversees additional investigations as needed, and evaluates evidence to determine appropriate charges.
- Negotiates plea agreements and resolves cases when appropriate while handling all phases of prosecution, including jury trials.
- Maintains an active caseload and ensures timely progression of cases through the court system.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to Assistant District Attorneys within the team and collaborates closely with investigators, victim witness advocates, and law enforcement agencies throughout the prosecution process.
- Approximately 3–5 years of prosecution experience.
- Strong courtroom advocacy and trial experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or in good standing with another state’s bar association and eligible for admission through reciprocity.
- Eligible or admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals.
- Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including fingerprinting, criminal history background check, motor vehicle history review, and drug screening.
- Meaningful courtroom experience managing a diverse caseload.
