We're seeking a detail-oriented Client Accounting Specialist to provide high-quality accounting and bookkeeping support to a portfolio of clients. This fully remote position is ideal for someone who thrives in a virtual environment, enjoys building client relationships, and has strong experience with QuickBooks Online.

This position is remote but candidates must reside in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for multiple clients
- Maintain bank and credit card activity within the general ledger
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as needed
- Prepare and post journal entries and accurately categorize transactions
- Perform account reconciliations
- Assist with preparing financial statements and management reports
- Communicate regularly with clients, serving as a trusted resource for accounting-related questions
- Meet deadlines while managing multiple client priorities
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure exceptional client service
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with cloud-based accounting and document management software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and adapt to changing client needs
- Professional, collaborative, and client-focused approach
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Candidates must reside in Maine, New Hampshire, or Massachusetts
