Propulsion Controls Engineering has a job opening for a Purchasing Agent II, with a minimum of three years experience in the military/marine or ship repair industry, at our San Diego, CA location. PCE is a full service electro-mechanical repair and diesel repair contractor.
Job Summary:
A Purchasing Agent will source prices, reviews and purchases parts, materials and services to be incorporated into production and/or shop operations. Communicates with approved vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of product or services. Inspect received materials prior to distribution. Processes shipping outbound products/materials. Process all purchase orders placed.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
- High School or equivalent level preferred.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Purchasing experience. Military / marine or ship repair knowledge a plus.
- Understanding of accounting systems.
- Demonstrate understanding of parts, materials, fasteners, & services associated with repair of shipboard structures, systems, & sub-systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
