What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Engineer position at Propolis?
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
- Track budgets, RFI logs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
- Conduct site walks and assist in monitoring field progress, quality control and safety compliance.
- Facilitate communication between field teams, management, and vendors.
- Maintain up-to-date drawing sets and ensure distribution of the latest documents to the field and subs.
- Review subcontractor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project plans, specifications and industry standards.
- Help prepare project closeout documents, including punch lists, warranties, and as-builts.
- Identify and flag potential issues or risks early and assist in troubleshooting with the PM and field team.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years in the Construction Industry
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- OSHA 10/30 Certification prefered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Smartsheet.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to operate construction equipment is a plus
