We partner with many of the world's leading medical device companies to develop and manufacture critical components used in cardiovascular, neurovascular, electrophysiology, structural heart, robotics, neuromodulation, and other life-changing applications.
Our expertise includes radiopaque marker bands, selective metallization, precious metal electroplating, electrodes, catheter components, and complex engineered surface finishes. We recently expanded into a new 38,500 sq. ft. ISO 13485-certified manufacturing facility designed to support continued growth and innovation.
We're looking for an experienced Chemistry Laboratory Manager to lead one of the most critical functions in our organization.
This position combines technical leadership, environmental and regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and research & development. You'll lead our chemistry laboratory team while ensuring our plating chemistries consistently support world-class quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

- Lead and develop the chemistry laboratory team and chemistry maintenance technicians.
- Oversee all electroplating chemistry testing, maintenance, and process control.
- Ensure plating baths remain within specification and troubleshoot chemistry-related production issues.
- Lead environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance activities, including permitting, reporting, hazardous waste management, and agency communication.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), regulatory documentation, manifests, and compliance records.
- Coordinate chemistry purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to chemistry management, laboratory processes, and monitoring systems.
- Research new plating chemistries, analytical methods, and manufacturing technologies that improve quality, reduce cost, and expand ProPlate's capabilities.
- Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production to support manufacturing and new product development.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (required).
- Advanced degree in Chemistry is a plus.
- Experience managing laboratory operations, electroplating chemistries, or related manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of environmental and regulatory compliance.
- Experience leading technical teams and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
