The Global Contractor Payments Manager will oversee multiple contractor pay cycles, including global bi-weekly payments to 8,000 individuals and agencies who make up our interpreter network. This position will be responsible for ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and identifying and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities
- Oversee all global contractor pay cycles, including bi-weekly interpreter pay, bi-weekly document translation pay and monthly call center pay, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Oversee interpreter ticketing system, collaborating across departments to ensure achievement of SLA’s
- Lead the optimization of the Freshservice interpreter ticketing system, collaborating with IT
- Lead and manage Global Contractor Pay team, including setting quarterly goals, delivering performance evaluations, providing training and guidance, and assigning workflow responsibilities; maintain and encourage high standards for the team
- Implement, integrate, maintain, and leverage multiple global payment platforms and systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency across entities
- Serve as the relationship owner with external contacts to foster a steady flow of two-way communication, pushing for enhancements and escalating any issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within global pay processes to streamline operations and reduce costs, collaborating cross-functionally to achieve tangible results
- Serve as an emergency backup for all business-critical global pay processes, becoming a subject matter expert
- Foster an environment that encourages creativity and innovation in how team members approach and analyze their tasks
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with internal key contacts through collaboration
- Lead monthly and year-end close processes as it pertains to contractor payments, including accruals, internal reporting, and providing audit selection support
- Support CFO, VP of Financial Operations, and other finance leaders on ad hoc reporting or projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combined education and work experience required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in contractor pay, payroll, or accounting required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing or leading a contractor pay, payroll, or accounting team
- Proven experience identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements
- Experience in a hyper-growth environment
- Comfortable working in numerous software systems and able to understand the flow of data
- A driven, continuous improvement mindset with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, teamwork, influence, and collaboration
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to motivate and inspire teams to produce quality work within tight deadlines
- Superior analytical and advanced spreadsheet skills with attention to detail
