Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong Capital Markets domain knowledge to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of trading and financial systems. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in test automation (preferably Playwright) and deep understanding of capital markets workflows, instruments, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
QA & Test Automation
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright (preferred) & (Selenium, Cypress) Develop automated test scripts for UI, API, and end-to-end testing Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Ensure high test coverage and maintain test data management Capital Markets Domain
Understand and validate workflows related to:
Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives
Trade lifecycle (Order → Execution → Settlement) Market data, pricing, and risk calculations Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure requirements are accurately tested Validate front-office, middle-office, and back-office systems API & Backend Testing
Perform API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured Validate data integrity across microservices and databases Work with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ) where applicable Quality Assurance & Testing
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives DevOps & CI/CD
Integrate test automation with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) Support continuous testing in Agile delivery environments Monitor test execution and reporting Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong experience in:
Test Automation using Playwright (highly preferred) JavaScript / TypeScript or Java/Python for automation Experience in:
UI automation, API testing, and end-to-end testing Version control systems (Git) CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with:
SQL and database validation
Test frameworks and design patterns
Domain Expertise (Mandatory)
Strong understanding of Capital Markets domain Knowledge of:
Trading platforms and order management systems (OMS) Market data feeds Regulatory and compliance requirements Experience in investment banking / brokerage / trading environments.
