Property Restoration of the Capital Region specializes in fire, water, mold, and biohazard damage restoration throughout the Capital District. We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Technician to join our team and take a hands-on role in returning homes and businesses to pre-loss condition.
Position Overview
As a Restoration Lead Technician, you’ll oversee and participate in on-site restoration projects, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest industry standards. You’ll lead a small crew, manage job documentation, communicate with customers and project managers, and represent the company with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead water, fire, biohazard and mold remediation projects from start to finish
- Supervise and train restoration technicians on best practices and safety standards
- Perform demolition, drying, cleaning, and reconstruction prep as needed
- Operate restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, extractors, etc.)
- Document work performed using company software and maintain jobsite records
- Communicate effectively with customers, adjusters, and team members
- Respond to emergency calls as part of an on-call rotation (including evenings/weekends)
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and meet quality standards
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in water/fire/mold restoration or construction
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, or others) preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in varying conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to work flexible hours during emergency response situations

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
