Leasing Consultant - Mountain Trail

A prospect walks in off the street on a Tuesday afternoon, having driven past three other communities on their way to yours. They're tired, a little skeptical, and carrying a mental checklist they haven't fully articulated yet. What happens in the next twenty minutes at Mountain Trail determines whether Olympus earns a signed lease or loses that person to a competitor down the road.

That moment is the core of the Leasing Consultant role. You're the first real impression of the property, and your ability to read a prospect, present the right unit, and guide someone from curious to committed is what drives occupancy. What the Work Actually Involves

Day to day, you'll show apartment homes, explain the differences between floor plans and finishes, prepare lease paperwork, coordinate move-in details, and keep prospect and resident data current in the property's database. You'll greet vendors, current residents, and walk-in traffic with the same level of professionalism. You'll also help plan and participate in resident events, which means some of your schedule will extend into evenings on a monthly basis.

Beyond the leasing floor, you'll visit local businesses and apartment locators to build referral relationships and drive traffic back to the property. Administrative work is part of the job too. Responding to resident concerns, maintaining organized records, and supporting your team's broader sales goals are all in scope.

This is a full-time position with rotating weekday hours between 9 AM and 6 PM. Weekend availability is required.

What You Need to Bring, and What You'll Build

Olympus requires at least one year of experience as an apartment leasing consultant, or meaningful time in a customer-facing sales role such as hospitality, retail, or restaurant work. The underlying skills are transferable: reading people quickly, handling objections without being defensive, and staying organized when traffic picks up and multiple prospects need your attention simultaneously.

What this role builds, over time, is something more specific to property management. You'll develop fluency in lease structure and move-in processes, sharpen your ability to translate a property's physical features into lifestyle value for different kinds of renters, and learn to track your own performance against occupancy and traffic metrics. Leasing consultants who develop that analytical awareness, connecting their daily activity to the property's overall occupancy health, tend to advance into assistant management roles faster than those who treat leasing as purely a sales function.

• Minimum one year of leasing or customer-facing sales experience

Compensation runs $18 to $22 per hour depending on experience, with monthly leasing commissions and resident renewal bonuses on top of base pay.
