We are seeking an Accountant to add to our talented staff. Property Management Associates promotes the advancement of career-oriented staff members with additional responsibilities and growth within the organization.Responsibilities:The Accountant position is primarily responsible for certain day-to-day accounting functions and for the preparation of monthly financial packages for an assigned portfolio of propertiesRecords and ensures that all expenses, receipts, owner’s distributions, and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted. Perform routine accounting functions/create and reconcile accounting entries while resolving discrepancies.Generate and review financial packages for accuracy and comprehensive reporting.Respond to and resolve issues and requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports.Research open accounting issues and recognize potential issues and/or conflicts so corrective action can intercept and minimize issues.Cash management activities including bank reconciliations and determining owner distributions.Assist with special projects.Other accounting-related tasks as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting (preferred) or finance is required.Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in property management or real estateExcellent written and verbal communication skillsYardi Voyager experience a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft applications with a focus on ExcelStrong organizational and analytical skillsEffective time management skills and ability to meet monthly reporting deadlines.Well-developed understanding of accounting principles and systemsAbility to work in a team environment and interact well with company staff, third parties, and clients.Compensation: $33.00-$36.00 per hourPMA offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees, including:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance with an employer contribution401(k) with discretionary company contribution after 1 year.Short-term & Long-term DisabilityCritical Illness/Accident/Hospital Indemnity PlansGenerous Paid Time Off: Time off benefits include vacation, holidays, and sick time.At PMA we recognize that your success is our success.
