About the Role
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of residential properties, including tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and rent collection. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on keeping properties running efficiently and ensuring tenant satisfaction. A reliable vehicle is required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Section 8 inspections (annual and initial)
- Manage maintenance, repairs, and unit turnovers
- Handle tenant communication and resolve issues promptly
- Collect rent and track deposits
- Maintain leases, applications, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate vendors and contractors
- Ensure units are ready for occupancy
- Manage utilities during tenant transitions
- Assist with tenant screening and placement as needed
Tenant Relations & Retention
- Build strong, respectful relationships with tenants
- Address concerns quickly and effectively
- Maintain high tenant satisfaction and retention
- Communicate with local housing authorities as needed
Qualifications
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple properties and tasks
- Comfortable working with tenants and vendors
- Property management or Section 8 experience is a plus (not required)
Compliance
- Must follow all Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Maintain professionalism in all tenant interactions
