Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, and support janitorial staff in daily cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Develop and assign work schedules to ensure proper coverage.
- Inspect work areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed.
- Assist in hands-on cleaning tasks when required.
- Report maintenance issues or needed repairs to the Facilities Manager.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Address employee performance concerns, provide feedback, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare reports on staff performance, supplies usage, and facility conditions.
- Serve as the main point of contact between staff and management for janitorial operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in facilities management a plus.
- 2 years of custodial or janitorial experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform physical cleaning tasks when necessary.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and occupational safety standards.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
